Central Indiana's housing market

welcome back it is 643 have you ever wondered where the most expensive and maybe the least expensive houses are located in central Indiana so we have them for you here this morning as part of our new year new you series we're taking a look at whether you should even consider buying a new home here in 2018 hey Carlos joins us once again from Carmel this morning hey Carlos yeah Julien guess what Carmel not the most expensive place to buy a home in central Indiana we're here with Jimmy deal that I've been loving hanging out with this guy all morning long from Remax a great guy to get ahold of if you're looking to buy a home so let's talk about the most the most and least expensive places to buy in central Indiana so the least expensive as we show you here Greenfield the least expensive why is that I would believe because it's on one of the it's obviously on the outside of the donut right and it's a larger area as far as land mass with not density as a result of that not as much corporate headquarters things like that that are driving prices Zionsville the most expensive the average price of a home in Zionsville forward and $32,000 why is that I'm gonna give it two reasons number one Zions Hill has always controlled its growth so it's only allowed so much to redevelopment in Zionsville and number two its proximity to interstate you get downtown you can get north etc okay so let's let's show you real quick some places around we got a great map to show you some places around Indianapolis you see downtown which is growing quickly and 160,000 dollars if you go around by the way fishers is not that bad at 274,000 especially since it was voted the number one place in the country to live caramel much more expensive than Fisher's Noblesville is is below Fisher's and karma $242,000 on the west side you've got Plainfield at 191 Avon a little bit more Brownsburg around the same price and then the fastest-growing places are the fastest-growing and markets are in Westfield and Greenwood as well what's the one piece of advice you would give to a prospective buyer looking to buy in this market figure out what are your non-negotiables and get prepared meaning non-negotiable is it more important for you to be in a location or to have three bedrooms and then be totally prepared to execute when the opportunity presents its because in this when you have inventory that is low like unless they're less houses to buy you got to be able to snatch it up real quick you're not gonna go out and look at 20 homes anymore right those days are gone so use the internet to kind of get well you're just gonna go look at five homes yeah so when you find the one that speaks to you be prepared because otherwise you'll put yourself into potentially a bidding situation Jimmy Dillon from Remax thank you so much hanging out with us all morning I really appreciate it yeah guys help me give you some good tips right there back to you
